Living legacy: Val Legge
“My 94-year-old mom is living in a care home, her memory is failing and her daily life feels very small. When I heard about YourEverLastingWords and having her story written I jumped at the idea.
What I didn’t expect was how truly emotional the process was going to be. It started with a search for photos, which triggered memories and anecdotes, and truly reconnected me with the beautiful, funny, strong loving woman my mother has always been. Others shared their stories – I would never have known these things!
So many gifts await from doing this, some you won’t even appreciate until you start your own process. I feel so much closer to my mom, there is something tangible for future generations to also connect to, and for all that, I am so grateful.
Don’t wait to do this! Time can slip away, and stories can be lost forever. You can trust Jane and Sandra with your loved one’s life stories. They are professionals. They will get it done. A story told is a life lived!”…Rhonda Legge, Val’s daughter.

Obituary: Paula Hatiras
“Losing a loved one, in particular a loving mother, is never easy and there are so many things to consider at the time.
In the midst of all of that grief and confusion, writing our mom’s (Paula Hatiras) obituary seemed not only difficult, but also painful when we thought about trying to write those memories down. That’s where Sandra Thomas came in.
Sandra asked some simple questions and encouraged us to share some favourite memories with her. The end result was an obituary that not only captured our mom’s strength and love of family, but also her playful side.
The obituary was so fitting, much of it was also used as the eulogy read at our mom’s funeral service.
I would highly recommend that other people in that same time of need and confusion after losing a loved one, like what we went through, let Your Everlasting Words help you write an obituary fitting for your loved one”…Vivian Hatiras
